I don’t have to tell you this, but living in these trying times is extremely stressful. People are getting sick, people are out of work, and there is uncertainty all around us.

Now, more than ever before, it is important to keep our bodies and minds healthy and strong. Not only for ourselves, but for all who depend on us. And exercise can help with both our physical and mental health.

My name is Nick Irons. I am am author, personal trainer, ultra-endurance athlete and founder of Irons Fitness, a personal training studio in Bethesda, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC.

If you’re like me, going even a week without some kind of exercise makes you crazy. And if you’ve been training regularly, you can lose your hard earned gains before you even know it. It only takes two weeks to start losing strength and cardiovascular endurance.

My passion has always been making a difference in people’s lives. For the last couple weeks, I have wondered many times what I could do to help.

After brainstorming with family and friends, I realized that the best thing I could do is to bring the gift of fitness to others where they are stuck…in their homes.  

 

Most people have never thought about working out at home. Or if they tried it, they didn’t have the slightest idea what to do. Some succeed, but most give up. 

So the question is: “Can you really get a great workout without leaving the house?” 

The answer is ABSOLUTELY!

REMOTE  PERSONAL TRAINING is a

from the comfort of your home. 

My team of trainers at Irons Fitness know how to train you remotely, from the comfort of your home. Our trainers will write custom-designed workouts, based on research-backed, client-tested training techniques. We will give you the workout of your life via FaceTime, Zoom or Skype.

This is personal training done remotely.

We will show you the proper way to perform the exercises safely, correct your form as needed, give you motivation and inspiration and be there for support. Minimal or no equipment is needed for you to get a great workout.

Introducing

REMOTE PERSONAL TRAINING

Delivered through Zoom, FaceTime or Skype, your REMOTE PERSONAL TRAINING will consist of:

  • Cardiovascular training workouts
  • Strength training workouts
  • Inspiration and motivation

Each workout will be custom-designed for you, taking your injuries, goals, and current fitness level into account. It will start where you are and progress week to week. The workouts are designed to help you get in shape safely and effectively so you finally reach your health and fitness goals.

How It Works

  1. 1Your first two sessions with us are FREE.   We are so confident that we can help you reach your goals that your first two sessions with us are FREE of charge.  The first session will be with me.  In it…..
  2. 2 We get to know you — Through an in depth health and fitness questionnaire, we will get to know you. We will learn how strong you are, how much endurance you have, any injuries you have, etc. This will serve as our starting point.
  3. 3We will help you develop your health and fitness goals — We will dive deep into your fitness goals to learn exactly what you are trying to accomplish. Whether it’s weight loss, strength, agility, general well-being, or whatever else, it’s our mission to help you get there.
  4. 4We will figure out which trainer is best for you — Our trainers have over 50 year of combined experience.  Any one of them could get you in shape, but only one will be perfect for you.  So, we hand pick a trainer who would be perfect for you.
  5. 5We will customize our training for you — Once we have your starting point and your ending point, our trainers will devise customized workouts to meet your goals. We make sure that the workouts are effective, safe, fun and motivating so you will get the results you want.
  6. 6We meet with you and train you online — At your scheduled time, we will meet with you via Skype, FaceTime or Zoom and put you through an awesome workout.  You will feel great when you are finished. I promise.

Nick Irons

Irons Fitness was founded by me, Nick Irons. I  am an ultra-endurance athlete, an award-winning author, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

 

You may have heard my story. I made national headlines when I became the first person in 70 years to swim the length of the Mississippi River and the first to swim it with the locks and dams of its “modern” form.

I didn’t just do my swim for the challenge or the glory; but to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis (MS) research. My dad lives with the disease.

 

I followed up my swim with a 10,000-mile bike ride around the perimeter of the United States, also to benefit MS research.

I am also the author of the award-winning book “Swim Lessons: Ten Secrets For Making Any Dream Come True” and the subject of the award-winning short documentary “Swim Lessons: The Nick Irons Story.”

 

What I learned from training for these two events inspired my drive to help others be physically fit so that they could make their dreams come true.

Paul Davis

Paul Davis is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is a former NCAA Division I and professional athlete and has been working as a trainer for more than 10 years. When it comes to fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, Paul is one of the most passionate people you will ever meet. His energy and enthusiasm are infectious and this is why he is so successful with his clients. His clients have included athletes, busy moms, US Ambassadors, CEOs, doctors, and busy professionals.

Marcia Liegey

Marcia Liegey is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She has worked in the health and fitness field for more than 15 years, 7 of those were at a busy physical therapy office. Cardio, strengthening, balance and flexibility are Marcia’s four pillars to personal fitness. She provides variety, fun and collaboration of fitness training to meet the unique needs and personalized goals of each of her clients. Her clients have included stay at home moms, busy doctors and retired folk.

There is a mound of academic research done over the past 100 years on fitness. This includes strength and conditioning training. It all points to one conclusion:

What if I’ve never exercised before?

We will never have you go further than you are able to go at the moment.

But I warn you…you will probably get hooked. Once you bring out your inner athlete, there is no going back.

This is the perfect time for REMOTE PERSONAL TRAINING.   If you are like me, you are probably feeling a “bit out of whack.”  Your routine is thrown off. You are not going into work at the same times (if at all). You may not be eating in the same ways. You may have kids around 24/7. Or you might be spending a bit too much time on Netflix.

Adding REMOTE PERSONAL TRAINING will:

  • Bring a sense of structure back into your life with a set time to meet with your trainer.
  • Allow you some “me time” to completely focus on rejuvenating yourself.

How much time will this take?

 

Most of our clients use REMOTE PERSONAL TRAINING 1-3 times per week for 45 minutes or an hour.

But if you want more then that, your trainer will give you homework to do in-between sessions. If you want to work out every day, you will know what to do each day.

Couldn’t I just…

  • Buy a book that tells me how to exercise? There are some excellent books about training out there. And they’re great for those of us who have the time to read, digest the material, and then figure out how to apply it to designing an entire program. But do you really want to be doing that?

We’ve read the books, stayed up on the academic papers, and figured out the exact process for incorporating all of the best practices – so all you have to do is to jump in and get started now.

 

Couldn’t I just…

  • Find this stuff for free online, or just watch YouTube? Information is out there. And sure, if you have the time and energy to spend hours and hours wading through horrible fitness advice online like I’ve done, to find the few nuggets that actually work, and then figure out how to apply them to your workout, then I definitely recommend that for you. But, just be ready for a lot of shirtless men telling you that you can’t get in shape unless you squat and deadlift. (Okay, my biases are showing.) If you have your own equipment, great.  We can use whatever fitness equipment that you already own.   Or:

  • We could do it all using your own body weight. You would be amazed at how good a workout you can get and how quickly you can see results using only your body weight.
  • We could help you choose the right equipment to purchase.
